Stormwater Management

AAC N 105th and Northgate Way TIB- February 2012 to December 2012
MP Stormwater Engineering designed the detention pipes and water quality facilities for this SDOT 1.4 mile paving project that lies within the Piper’s Creek, Densmore and Thornton Creek drainage basins. MGSFlood models were developed for each detention pipe, Filterra, and Stormfilter units. Offsite basin analysis completed for a natural drainage way discharging to the project limits. The inclusion of new storm drain with the existing system required conveyance, inlet, and gutter calculations.

Waterfront Seattle Project – Feb 2013 to present
The continuous waterfront includes new surface streets along with pedestrian and bicyclist improvements. MP Stormwater was responsible for modeling the stormwater conveyance design, flow control and water quality facilities on the numerous individual projects that will accomplish the Seattle waterfront vision. The Alaskan Way and Elliott Way projects include new public storm drains that MP Stormwater used StormCad to model and MGSFlood to design stormwater facilities.
