Lower Taylor Creek Restoration

Lower Taylor Creek Restoration – March 2014- August 2015

Taylor Creek with its tributaries are appoximately 2.7 miles in length and located in southeastern Seattle. The Lower Taylor Creek restoration project extends from upstream of the creeks crossing at Rainier Avenue South to Lake Washington and includes creek realignment, culvert replacement and sedimentation management design. MP Stormwater Engineering is completing the HECRAS modeling of both existing and proposed conditions. Three creek realignment options are being considered.

Lyon Creek Bypass Pipe

Lyon Creek Bypass Pipe Project- April 2014 to November 2014

Lyon Creek is located in City of Lake Forest Park. The Lyon Creek Bypass project consisted of several fish passage culvert replacements, creek realignment and sedimentation management design. MP Stormwater Engineering provided assistance with HECRAS modeling of both existing and proposed conditions for and scour analysis for QC and other oncall coordination and assistance.

Kramer and SF Thornton Creeks

Kramer and SF Thornton Creeks Culvert Complex- August 2016-December 2016

MP Stormwater Engineering is part of the Options Analysis effort, which included 4 culverts on 2 separate creeks within a single block area at the confluence of the South Branch of Thornton Creek and its tributary, Kramer Creek. MP Stormwater Engineering was responsible for creating the existing conditions HECRAS models for Kramer Creek and SF Thornton Creek. Existing conditions model provides the basis on which to compare alternative options to be completed by Northwest Hydraulic Consultants.
